Somewhere in the garden, there is always something waiting to be discovered. This collection is inspired by the little discoveries waiting for us when we slow down and look a little closer. Each painting captures a different glimpse of an imagined garden, inviting you to wonder what might be around the next corner or hidden just beneath the surface.

That sense of discovery continues within the paintings themselves. Each piece begins with layers of specialty papers and pages from vintage French magazines, which are then partially covered with paint, texture and mark-making. Words, illustrations and fragments of another time peek through unexpectedly, sometimes immediately noticeable and sometimes waiting to be found.

Like wandering through a garden, there is no way to take everything in at once. The closer you look, the more there is to discover. Together, the paintings in Somewhere in the Garden celebrate those small, unexpected moments of beauty that make us stop, look again and perhaps linger just a little longer.
