Collection: Emily Pullin

She works primarily in acrylic and mixed media including collage, china marker, graphite, and oil pastel. She has always been drawn to the contrast between architectural lines and shapes and the organic flow of the natural world. In her work, she strives to create a balance of rigid structure among layers of loose marks and color. Every piece is a raw and authentic expression of her thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Each layer captures a moment that informs the next, creating a visual narrative. While her work tells her own story, she hopes each viewer can find a part of their own story reflected within it.

When she is not in her studio, she is teaching or spending time with her family, likely on a sports field or at the hunting camp. She has the privilege of sharing her love of visual art with children as an elementary art teacher at the school her two boys attend.
