Artist Feature: Gina Brown — Finding Light, Faith, and Comfort in Every Brushstroke

This season, the KP Art Collective is honored to feature the work of Gina Brown, a painter whose impressionist style radiates warmth, faith, and a love for the simple beauty of everyday life. Recently named one of Modern Impressionist Magazine’s “Top 40 Contemporary Impressionist Artists” in their September/October Salon, Gina continues to capture hearts with her use of light, texture, and meaning.
Imperfect Beauty and Timeless Joy
For Gina, art isn’t about perfection—it’s about truth. “I try to never finish a painting,” she says. “I love to leave a painting imperfect.” That gentle restraint gives her work emotional depth—each piece feels alive, breathing with color and movement, inviting viewers to find peace in the unfinished.
Her newest collection for our November 22nd show includes a joyful Rockefeller Plaza skating scene, brimming with the magic of the holiday season, and her signature hummingbird paintings—small, luminous works that make truly meaningful, giftable pieces. Each one reflects her keen sense of light and the way she captures fleeting moments of beauty that stir the heart.
Rooted in Family and Faith
Gina’s greatest inspiration comes from the people she loves most. “My family cheers me on the loudest,” she says, and when she’s not in the studio, you’ll likely find her with them—watching football (she laughs that she watches more than her husband) or cooking her favorite comfort food, sweet potato soup, on chilly days.
At the center of everything she does is her faith. “I love the Lord,” Gina says. “I want to bring glory to Him in everything I do.” That spirit infuses her work with warmth and authenticity, reminding us that beauty and meaning are often found in the simplest of moments.
A Community That Inspires
Gina treasures the creative community around her—fellow artists, collectors, and friends whose encouragement continually shapes her journey. “That’s a huge blessing,” she says. Her humility, gratitude, and love for connection shine through her art, making her work not only beautiful but deeply personal.
From skating beneath the Rockefeller Christmas tree to the flicker of a hummingbird’s wings, Gina’s impressionist paintings invite us to pause, breathe, and delight in the grace woven through everyday life.
